We offer vacation scheme placements in our Basingstoke, Birmingham, Cambridge, Guildford, London, Oxford and Reading offices. You will spend time working in one of the firm’s practice areas in either business services, dispute resolution, private individuals or real estate.    If you are applying for our Vacation Scheme Programme in 2026 you will also be applying for our Trainee Solicitor Programme in 2028 and do not need to make a separate application.   We run one Winter and two Summer vacation schemes each year. As part of our wider commitment to increasing the representation of Black heritage and ethnic minority individuals in the legal sector, in spring 2022, we launched our programme, EMpower. The programme provides a unique opportunity for students to gain invaluable insight into the firm, develop skills relevant for a career in law and build relationships with lawyers which will continue once the programme has finished through our mentoring programme. It has been tremendously successful, resulting in many vacation scheme placements and training contract offers with the firm.

Our Limitless programme is aimed at students at sixth form/ college studying towards higher education such as your A-levels, BTEC, NVQ, International Baccalaureate or Scottish Highers - typically in year 12 or 13 (England and Wales) or S6 (Scotland).  Our five-day programme will introduce you to the workings of a law firm, the role solicitors do and how central team professionals support the firm as a whole.   Our next programme will run from 13 - 17 July 2026 in our London office and you must be available on all of these dates to attend.
